Welcome to the Chunkster Reading Challenge - a challenge which satisfies those readers who like their books fat and chunky!

ABOUT the Chunky Book Club

January 1, 2014 Update: Due to lack of participation, the Chunky Book Club has been discontinued.

Welcome to the Chunky Book Club where participants are invited to join us book discussions throughout the year. The books we read are the big books, the chunksters, the books that take a little commitment of time. Here is how the book club works:

  • At the beginning of each year we ask for nominations for books, followed by a poll where books are chosen for discussion.
  • Book club discussions will occur here on the Chunkster Challenge blog in the following months: March, June, September and December.
  • Discussion questions will be posted to the blog beginning on the 15th day of each of those months (except for December when discussion will begin on the 5th of the month due to the holidays) and participants will discuss the book club read for that month in the comments section of each post. In general, discussions will run through the end of the month, but participants will be welcome to continue discussing the book for as long as there is interest.
  • Those readers who have read the book and reviewed it on their blog are invited to provide a link to their review.
  • Participants in the Chunky Book Club do NOT need to join the Chunkster Challenge, although you are more than welcome to do both!
  • ANY format of book is acceptable (ie: audio, e-book, or physical book are just fine!)
